Coasteering

What is Coasteering?

Coasteering is a blend of rock-hopping, shore-scrambling, swell-riding, cave-exploring and cliff-jumping for the ultimate aquatic adventure. En-route you’ll discover wildlife and beautiful scenery.

Explore the stunning and rugged coastline of Northern Ireland with us on one of our action packed guided coasteering sessions.  We’ll travel along an otherwise inaccessible stretch of the coast, swimming into rocky coves and through exhilarating white water features, adventuring into caves, and of course leaping from our favourite jump spots.

Who can do it?

Coasteering sessions typically last for around three hours, two hours of which are spent in the water or on the rocks.  All necessary equipment is provided, including a warm 5mm wetsuit, a buoyancy aid and a helmet.  Participants must be aged 8 or over and can swim doggy paddle.

Our team of experienced coasteering guides are all very experienced, fully qualified and have completed our in-house, location specific training.  Lurgaboy Adventure is a member of the NCC (National Coasteering Charter)

Is it healthy?

Coasteering is an ultimate all-round fitness activity to build strength and co-ordination, and burn calories. Who needs the gym?
